Sparkle & Snap Terms & Conditions Agreement

This agreement is made between the Client and Jacquline Jensen, owner of Sparkle & Snap, for the rental and/or setup and teardown of decorative items and event services.

1. Rental Period & Payment

  • The rental period begins once the 20% non-refundable deposit is received and ends upon pickup after the scheduled event.

  • Deposit amounts vary ($150, $125, or $80) depending on the product or service and must be paid at booking or no later than 2 weeks before delivery.

  • Full payment is due 2 days prior to delivery—no exceptions.

2. Rental Fees

  • Rental fees vary by product or service and will be outlined in the official quote or invoice.

  • Late payments may result in cancellation of services and forfeiture of your deposit.

3. Delivery

  • Delivery is included within 20 miles of Cedar Rapids, IA except for dance floor rentals.

  • For dance floor rentals, a $0.60 per mile fee applies for the entire delivery distance, regardless of mileage.

  • For all other rentals, a $0.60 per mile charge applies for any distance beyond 20 miles.

4. Rush Orders

A rush fee applies to bookings made within 7 days of the event:

  • 5–7 days out: +25%

  • 2–4 days out: +50%

  • Under 48 hours: +80%

5. Damages & Delays

  • Any damage or delay caused by the client, guests, venue, or third parties will result in additional charges, due within 7 business days of the event. A separate invoice will be issued.

  • Specialty and custom items may involve additional fees and policies.

6. Setup & Access

  • Setup of flower walls, arches, and large props requires a minimum of 20 minutes, not including unloading or breakdown.

  • Setup of Dance requires minimum 1.5 hours, not including unloading and set up.

  • Minimum of 1 hour minimum required for dance floor tear down.

  • A fee of $30 per 30-minute delay applies to late access or pickup caused by the client, venue, or contracting party.

  • Late night pick ups (anything after 10:00 pm) will require an additional $100.00 fee.

  • Ensure venue access and timing are confirmed at least 7 days prior to the event.

7. Outdoor & Weather Policy

  • Outdoor setups require advanced notice at least 7 days prior and may include an additional outdoor setup fee.

  • Sparkle & Snap reserves the right to refuse outdoor placement due to weather or safety concerns.

  • Outdoor setups for our dance floor require an additional $200 subfloor add on.

  • The company is not liable for canceled, delayed, or altered service due to wind, rain, incorrect setup info, or venue limitations.

8. Neon Signs & Prop Safety

  • Neon signs may overheat and must not be touched or tugged on.

  • Children must be supervised around all setups.

  • The client is liable for injuries or damages resulting from misuse or tampering with rentals.

9. Insurance & Damage

  • Standard wear-and-tear damage up to $50 is covered. Significant damage, loss, or theft will be billed at market value and must be paid within 7 days of receiving the invoice.

10. Custom Items

  • Custom props and specialty orders require a pre-agreed deposit.

  • Damage due to neglect, misuse, or vandalism will be invoiced at market replacement cost, due within 7 days.

11. Liability

  • Sparkle & Snap and Jacquline Jensen are not liable for:

    • Client or venue delays

    • Setup issues due to limited access

    • Weather or unforeseen circumstances

    • Any issues once items are in the client’s possession or care

12. No Guarantees

  • Sparkle & Snap will deliver services professionally and with care, but specific results are not guaranteed.

By signing below, the Client agrees to all terms above and assumes financial responsibility for all rented items and services.
